A New Home for My Guiding Business: Introducing Yosemite Life
"The mountains are calling, and I must go." When I first started this journey, John Muir’s legendary words were the perfect foundation.
But as I refined the vision for my guiding business, it became clear the name didn’t reflect the focus. I’m not guiding in just any mountains — it’s the one and only Yosemite National Park. That’s why, starting today, I am excited to announce that my guiding brand is officially transitioning from MountainsCalling.me to Yosemite Life.
Why the change?
Because clarity matters. When you are planning a trip to one of the most iconic national parks on earth, you want to know exactly what you're getting. "Yosemite Life" immediately communicates my absolute dedication to this specific park, its history, and the transformative experiences waiting for you here.
What is Changing?
The Professional Brand:
Moving forward, my guide business will live at Yosemite.Life. This is where you’ll find my 2026 trip roster, booking details, trip information, and articles dedicated to Yosemite.
The Website Split:
This site, MountainsCalling.me, isn't going anywhere! It will remain my personal home base—a place for "Eric’s voice" where I’ll continue to share my personal stories, my journey through all 63 National Parks, and Kali 🐶.
Social Media:
No changes there. You can still follow both my personal journey and guiding updates through the same social channels.
What is Staying Exactly the Same?
The Integrity:
I am still fully permitted, licensed, and insured. My NPS Commercial Use Authorization permit remains the same (YOSE-2026-7d667608).
The Legal Entity:
While the "outward" name is now Yosemite Life, the official legal entity remains MountainsCalling.me LLC. My NPS permit is officially issued to MountainsCalling.me LLC dba Yosemite Life.
The Guide:
You still get me - a guide who knows Yosemite from the inside out through years of hiking and backpacking it's trails, and personally leads every trip.
Thank you for being part of this launch. The 2026 season is shaping up to be incredible, and I cannot wait to share the Yosemite Life with you.
